I was excited to see my first RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD. Yes, Spring is here. All of the birds are very active – Many Dark-eyed Juncos, Downy Woodpecker, 2-Hairy Woodpeckers, and 3-Pileated , and 2-Northern Flickers. The Sparrows are all active as well. I now have a Fox Sparrow for the first time.
We saw our first RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD today, too. A male.
Today we saw a female Hairy woodpecker and several Chestnut-backed Chickadees.
Today (11 Feb 14) we saw a Downy Woodpecker, Chestnut-backed Chickadee. Yesterday we saw Bushtits, a Song Sparrow, Black-capped Chickadees, and Dark-eyed Juncos.
